Thank you for your application and your interest in our company. Protecting your personal data is very important to us. In accordance with the relevant data protection rules, we therefore would like to inform you of the ways in which your personal data will be collected, processed and used in connection with your application.

What sources and data do we use?

We only process the personal data (Article 4 (2) of the GDPR) that we have received as part of the selection and recruitment process. Relevant personal data includes your personal details (name, address and other contact details), your CV, information about your education and professional qualifications, as well as other data that is comparable with the categories mentioned above. However, this may also include special categories of personal data as referred to in Article 9 (1) of the GDPR (e.g. data concerning health).

Why do we process your data (purpose of processing) and what is the legal basis?

We process personal data to make a decision on the establishment of an employment relationship in accordance with Section 26 (1)(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act [BDSG] in conjunction with Article 88 of the GDPR. In so far as we process special categories of personal data, the purpose of this within the scope of the application process is for the exercise of rights or the fulfilment of legal obligations arising from labour law, social security law and social protection.

Who will receive my data?

Only those employees in our company who require your data to make a decision on filling a vacant position, or who are involved in the application process, will receive it. Data shall otherwise only be transferred to recipients outside our company if this is permitted or required by law, the transfer of this data is required to comply with legal obligations, or we have obtained your consent.

How long will my data be stored for?

Assuming you are not hired, your personal data will be deleted six months after the selection process has been completed at the latest.

What are my data protection rights?

Each data subject has the right of access in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, the right to rectification in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR, the right to erasure in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR, the right to object in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR and the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR. The restrictions referred to in articles 34 and 35 of the BDSG apply to the right of access and the right to erasure. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (Article 77 of the GDPR in conjunction with Article 19 of the BDSG):

Am I obliged to provide you with my data?

As part of the application process, you are required only to provide the personal data that is necessary to establish an employment relationship and to comply with the legal obligations associated with this, or which we are obliged to collect by law. Without this data, we would generally be unable to conclude any sort of employment contract with you.

To what extent is decision-making automated (including profiling)?

We do not use any automated decision-making procedures to establish, implement or process an employment relationship.
